Short: BearStar is a brown tomcat with striking green eyes, a darker brown tabby pattern, and a ring of light brown around his neck.

personality
BearStar is a relatively calm and collected cat, with a fatherly attitude. He is more likely to jump into decisions in order to keep his small clan alive. This can be very problematic, as important decisions aren't always rationalized, but it's always to protect his loved ones, so that makes up for it, right?
If he feels someone is a danger to the clan or others, he will tell you to your face what you are doing wrong and how he wants you to change in order to keep a balance in the clan(s).
He has an excellent sense of foresight (a gift from his mother when he gained his nine lives) which can create some backlash, as this can be what causes him to assume the worst out of any decisions (Ex: It's going to rain soon, "OH NO, we need to move to higher ground, grab the kits and prey, we must leave or we'll be washed away in a flood!" when in actuality, it's not going to flood anytime soon.)
His intimidating appearance matches his bold and cool personality, but in the end, he has a heart of gold, not stone.
He would be the kind of person to hide his inevitable death from the entire clan to keep them from panicking, and would only tell his deputy when he was on his death bed or something dramatic like that.

BearStar (originally BearHeart) was born in ShadowClan, before the clans moved to their new homes (in the future books, after the new prophecies)
and has two siblings, Stoneclaw (his sister) and Adderpaw (his brother, who had yet to complete his training due to an injury, and was still apprenticed when BearHeart left ShadwoClan)
Along with HeronStar and the other clan leaders, he decided to part ways with the original four clans, when they headed to the new homes, to begin a new life. He personally wanted to build up a clan similar to ShadowClan, but with different morals. He know resides in Ashclan territory with the rest of his clan, he has no lover (yet *wiggles eyebrows*) and no biological children, but treats his clan mates like family.
